Famous Guys Who Look Like Women
by alicewisely
Hey, have you noticed men in the media are starting to look like girls, especially in Asia?
Meet Ukrainian model Stav Strashko, the new face of Toyota’s Auris in Japan.
You’re thinking, ‘….what did I just see?’
Just to be cruel, I’m not going to tell you the answer. I will show you….
And now for something completely different: K-pop. You’re about to experience “Face” by Nu’est, the latest and greatest boy band to sweep South Korean females off their feet.
Did you see her in the music video? No, wait, err. HIM! His name is Ren, and yes, he is the doe-eyed blonde strutting like a high fashion model in pink boots.
Here’s a closeup Teaser for Ren:
And before you dismiss him as some punk who looks like a girl, let me just say this: the South Korean girls go gaga for him. RenLoving on FanPop.com posted:
“Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Cuuuuuuute!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Loooooooooooooooooove!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
The Only One I Love : Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!!!!!!!!<3 <3 <3 <3
Loooooove Yooooou Reeeen!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3″ (http://www.fanpop.com/spots/nuest/images/29801926/title/nuest-ren-photo).
And before you make fun of his princess fingers, fans consider his art deco nails awesome as well as prettiful.
‘Gahhh. Why?’ you might ask. ‘Does he even know he looks like a girl?’ Well, those are all interesting questions.
On 5 March 2012, Ren admitted to the media, “It was when I went to the public toilet at a substation, and boys who were coming in thought they entered the wrong toilet room. At that time, my hair was already dyed like now and people who saw me inside the toilet room hurriedly went back out to double check if the sign and room they were in is correct, after that they come back again with cleared look that it is the men’s toilet and that I’m a boy” (http://www.allkpop.com/2012/03/nuest-member-ren-likes-the-attention-he-is-receiving-for-his-feminine-look).
One last closeup for your consideration:

This is Ren. He is a male.
If you are thirsting for more, I strongly suggest googling Andrej Pejic. He looks like this:

Bosnian male model.

Thank you for sharing my post.
Oh no. The horror.
The Japanese word you want is yaoi.
I think the word you are looking for is Bishonen or pretty/beautiful boy in Japanese… I’m sure there is a Korean word for it as well…
yaoi is stories about boys with boys relationships often written from a female perspective…
but yeah, you have to be careful dealing with a really pretty girl in some of these places, it could be a “Trap”.
You know, if Mr. Goldfinger were still in the market for a henchman, he might want to consider someone not from Korea.
We’re doomed. No wonder Islam has no respect for us.
bring the comet of death now, … hurry!
Then there’s the Swedish boy, Yohio, who dresses up like a (female) doll and has a big following in Japan.

That….is….interesting. Thanks for sharing!
This is actually nothing new. Look up “visual kei”–it describes a similar media phenomenon in Japan, which got started in the early 80s. Asian pop stars have been doing this stuff for as long as I’ve been alive.
The perfect poster boy for Metrosexualism .
I think it taps into what I’ve seen as intentionally extended childhood among Asian girls. In all cultures the boys are much more interested in “growing up” and being manly, while individually and culturally the trend is to try and keep girls young, cute, and innocent as long as possible. The yaoi gives the girl as proper male focus for affection and fantasy while simultaneously satisfying the desire for cute, or “kawai.”
In a jaded, blase, seen-it-all-before world, men dressed as women is one of the few things left which can shock people and get their attention. Which doesn’t say much for the world … but makes these ad’s very understandable. The fact that that you felt these images were worth a blog post proves their advertising wisdom.
It’s not just Asia. Women in general seem to like gender-bending stuff. Check out the reaction of the women in the audience and in the comments section in this Britains Got Talent segment.
Arguably, no one can make women swoon as much as Vitas can: http://youtu.be/eTY800wfQAc.
Vitas looks like a woman you know…and he doesn’t have manly voice.
yeah i agree 100%. enrique iglesiasis a lot better than that Vitas guy
